Privacy settings

The Settings > Privacy menu in the KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. app allows riders and delivery recipients to place or fill in their first choice regarding location data collection and sharing, emergency data sharing, announcements and notices.

  • Location data collection (riders and delivery recipients)

Riders and delivery recipients can allow/restrict KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. to gather location data from their mobile devices through their device settings, which can be retrieved via the Settings > Privacy > Location menu.

  • Share Live Location (Riders)

Riders can allow/restrict KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. to share their real-time location data from their mobile devices with their drivers through their device settings, which can be accessed via the Settings > Privacy > Location menu.

  • Emergency Data Sharing 

Riders may allow KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. to share real-time location data from their mobile devices with emergency police, fire, and ambulance services. This data may include estimated location at the time the emergency call was identified; the car’s make, model, color, and license plate information; the rider’s name and phone number; pickup and drop off locations; and the driver’s name.
 

Riders may allow/restrict this feature via the Settings > Privacy > Location menu, or the Safety Center.

Drivers and delivery persons can also allow/restrict Emergency Data Sharing via the App settings > Emergency Data Sharing menu, or the Safety Toolkit.

  • Announcements: account and trip updates

KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC.  offers users with trip status notices and updates associated to activity on their account. These notices are a essential part of using the KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. app and cannot be restricted. Though, users may select the procedure by which they receive these notices through the Settings > Privacy menu.

  • Notices: rebates and news

Users may allow KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. to send notices about rebates and news from KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. notices may be allowed or restricted through the Settings > Privacy menus in the KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC app.

  • Communications from restaurants and merchants 

Users may opt-in to receive messages from certain restaurants while putting an order in the KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. app. Those who opt-in may prefer to discontinue receiving such messages through the Settings > Account > Data Sharing menus in the KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. app.

Device authorizations

Most mobile device platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have specified certain forms of device data that apps cannot retrieve without the device owner’s authorization, and these platforms have different procedures for how that authorization can be acquired. Please check the existing settings on your device or check with your provider.

In-app ratings pages

Following every trip, drivers and riders are capable to rate each other on a scale from 1 to 5. An average of those ratings relates to a user’s account and is presented to other users for whom they provide or receive services. For instance, rider ratings are available to drivers from whom they request transportation, and driver ratings are available to their riders.

This 2-way system maintains everyone responsible for their behavior. Responsibility helps establish a respectful, secure environment for drivers and riders.

Riders can see their average rating in the main menu of the KABOU TEHNOLOGIES INC. app.

Delivery persons may also be rated by delivery recipients, restaurants, and merchants.

  • Marketing emails and messages: 

To opt out of receiving marketing emails from KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC., or for directions on how to set your preferences regarding whether to receive marketing SMS or push notices from KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. Users may also opt out of receiving emails and other messages from KABOU TECHNOLOGIES INC. by following the differed with guidelines in those messages. We may still send users who have opted out non-promotional communications, such as receipts for rides or information about their account.
